Thanks so much for the feedback, Sakari! Exposition is not one of my strong suits, so I'm trying to challenge myself to improve. Also, glad you liked the ending 🤗!
The distress signal with the bee recordings... that was enough to bring the people back. Well, you saw all my previous guesses, but I never guessed that. Brilliant, and believable too!
You captured loneliness from a robot's perspective. All the desperation of the castaway without the human hysteria. Wow. Then there was the line, just as he turned off his systems, and the next scene was some little girl... I thought, did Charlie make it into some kind of heaven?
Maybe the final 'aha' moment for me was when someone said, "Who knew the fate of humanity might rest with something (someone) so small? (Not a direct quote I know, but I can't see the story while I'm writing this). That's a big message.
Thank you, Timothy! Lol, I find it super interesting to hear readers' interpretation. I suppose in a way with the humans returning to earth and trying to rebuild it, it is as if he's returned to a kind of heaven. Haven't thought about it that way until you pointed it out though. Also glad you caught onto his sense of desperation. It was challenging conveying the "emotions" of a being that technically can't feel emotions...at least not in the way humans do. Glad it worked out. :)
Got to admit to a tear in the eye reading that ending!
I love the way the bees were so central in this story. Bees are great!
Thank you!! And yes they certainly are 🐝 🌸.
1. Pacing felt a little fast with such a sudden jump.
2. Loved the heartwarming ending!

Really enjoyed this final installment Macy. Thought you did a great job bringing everything full circle. Well done.
Thank you, Matthew!!!
